Shiny Update 03.22.10 | The Natives

In the summer of 2009 Austin experienced a brutal drought. So our pals at Water Conservation hired us to explain how native gardens are more economical and “greener” than turf grass. And what better way to tell this story than bratty native plants pounding out a hard-driving rock anthem. Thanks once again to Brett Stiles for the lively illustrations. And while we wrote the lyrics, without the vocal chops of Kerri Atwood and the sonic thunder of  Stuck On On, this garden might have been just another bunch of pretty flowers.
